Facing Injustice: Bonnie Abaunza speaks with MHS Girls

A few weeks ago, Ms. Bonnie Abaunza, a dedicated human rights activist, visited Marymount’s Amnesty Club to educate the club members of the injustices people face throughout the world. Bonnie decided at a young age to advocate for human rights after she fell victim to human rights violations. She graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, specializing in International Relations. Using her knowledge of human rights and the entertainment industry, she works with many celebrities to raise awareness of social injustices through the media. She also travels around witnessing the harsh discrimination people suffer from throughout the world. Bonnie’s hard work and determination has saved many innocent lives; she encourages high school students to participate in the event her company hosts to save even more lives.

Inspired by Bonnie’s success and accomplishments, Marymount’s Amnesty Club plans to partake in the many activities the Abaunza Group has to offer. There are many people suffering around the world from unfair prejudices and it is our right to help these people escape their troubles and to help them establish a new and better life. Join the Amnesty Club to learn of the many ways we can save innocent victims’ lives around the world.
