For Marymount’s juniors and seniors, Prom 2016 is quickly approaching, and nobody should have to miss out on the fun night that will take place on May 21st. Before then however, some preparation must be made, including finding and asking someone to go with you. So, here are 10 creative, maybe a little cliché, ways to score a date to Prom!

  1. Write big on a piece of cardboard: “I don’t know what I would DEW without you! Prom?” To complete the promposal, also add: “PROM?” on 5 bottles of Mountain Dew.
  2. Bring a pizza, and on the inside of the box write: “I know this is cheesy, but” and have the word PROM out of pepperonis on the pizza. He won’t be able to say no to food.
  3. Write on a Nike shoebox (with a pair of new shoes): “I heard you were thinking of going to Prom with me, just do it” (with a Nike slogan next to it).
  4. If you want to go for a preppy promposal, buy him something from Vineyard Vines and make sure to get a huge whale sticker with your purchase. Then write out: “Whale you go to Prom with me?” You can never go wrong with a play on words.
  5. Buy a box of donuts and get in touch in with your poetic side! Write: “Roses are red, donuts are the bomb, do me a favor, and come with me to Prom?”
  6. Use red solo cups to write out PROM, and then write down on a sign: “Don’t let me go solo”.
  7. Cut out a sign in the shape of a baseball base, and write in red: “Can I steal you for Prom?”
  8. Write out on a sign: “Prom would be ruff without you!” You can even bring your dog to the Promposal because he can’t say no to puppy dog eyes.
  9. Buy a latte at Starbucks and write out on the poster: “I like you a latte. Prom?”
  10. Write out on a green poster: “Do you want to make a racquet at Prom with me?” You can also bring a racquet or tennis balls for the full effect.
