What do you do when you get upset?

Great question! When I feel upset, I go outside to get some fresh air. Try taking a walk around the block to cool off and calm your mind. You could also try sprinting down the block to get all the anger out of your system. Sometimes I like to take a jog around the golf course which really clears my mind. Good luck!

What is the best way to study?

Studying can be extremely tedious. However, if you study in the correct way you can ace that quiz or test! The day that the teacher announces the assessment, you should start making a study plan. A study plan consists of a detailed guide with each topic on the examination. Organize your studying by divvying up the material among multiple days, and allocating certain amounts of time to each topic. You should finish studying all the topics on the assessment at least two days beforehand. The last two days should be spent reviewing everything that you’ve studied.

I want to become passionate about something, but I don’t know what to pursue. Any advice?

There are so many things out there to become passionate about! If you would like to become passionate about a sport, try conditioning with the team. Do not be afraid to try all the sports Marymount has to offer; who knows what you might find! If you’re not looking to pursue sports, no need to fear, there are plenty of other things to become passionate about. Try learning to play an instrument! Learning music is almost like learning a language, and once you get the hang of it, it can be really fun. Again, experiment with all types of musical instruments so you can discover which suits you best.

Hope I helped! Good luck!

Yours truly,

Susie the Sailor
