Lee Toland Krieger directs the beautiful love story of a woman named Adaline Bowman, played by the extraordinary Blake Lively, who stops aging at the age of 29 after a car accident in 1937. At first, Adaline is not aware of her immortality until her peers around her start to get suspicious of her remaining youth over the decades. She herself did not understand her condition, but she knew if anyone else knew, she would be taken away from everyone she loves. As a result of fear, Adaline ran away. She started to go under different aliases every decade to decrease the suspicion of her immortality, but that was until New Year’s Eve 2014.

That was the night Adaline’s life changed forever. A man named Ellis Jones, played by Michiel Huisman, comes into Adaline’s life and is immediately intrigued by the mysterious woman at the New Year’s Eve party; however, Adaline is resistant and pushes him away from her personal and love life. Unfortunately for her, Ellis and Adaline meet again and end up going on a couple of dates, but it is only after those couple of dates when Adaline and Ellis fall in love with each other. One day, Ellis invites Adaline to his parents’ house for their wedding anniversary party.  She happily agrees to go but once they are there, Adaline sees a familiar face she has not seen for many, many years.

The Age of Adaline is not just a love story about an immortal woman; it is about the journey of a woman who has lost and sacrificed so much. She had to let go and leave behind everyone she has loved to keep them and herself safe from harm and heartbreak. But after 80 years of running, she stops because one man will not let her go. Her delayed leave gives her past time to catch up to her, and it caught up faster than she thought. Go and watch the beautiful story of Adaline Bowman and watch her 80 years of immortality unfold before your eyes.
