Where to Find Your Pot of Gold: St. Patrick’s Day in Los Angeles
March 13, 2017
St. Patrick’s Day is an exciting time to eat, celebrate, and be merry. All over Los Angeles, there are exciting places where people of all ages can gather and partake in the holiday festivities. Here are some fun places to go and celebrate St. Patrick’s day with a group of friends or family members.
Hermosa St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Spend St. Patrick’s Day on the beach soaking up the sun and enjoying the excitement of the Hermosa St. Patrick’s Day Parade! On Saturday, March 11th beginning at 11 AM, join the crowd of all ages to watch the Leprechaun themed parade go by with floats, horses and of course… bagpipes! Not only can you enjoy the atmosphere of the beach and parade but also explore the many shops and restaurants up and down Hermosa Beach. (My personal favorite is Paciugo Gelato and Caffé).

St. Patrick’s Day at the Los Angeles Farmers Market!
Not only is there a variety of delicious food to pick from at the Los Angeles Farmers Market every day, but the atmosphere will be filled with great music and jubilant people on March 17th. Join the all-day festivities and take a group of friends out to lunch to enjoy the jovial music and scrumptious food.

Places to Look Out For:
Last year, there were a bunch of fun places for all ages to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Although these places don’t have officials dates set, here are two more places to look out for.
Leprechaun Leap 5K
The Leprechaun Leap has not yet set a date for the festive 5k; however, last year’s Leprechaun Leap brought out all people, young and old, in their best green athletic outfits. Whether you race to the front or stroll in the back, the race is sure to be a fun way to stay active during the holiday season.
St. Patrick’s Day Noontime Celebration at Pershing Square!
Take the Red Line metro down to Pershing Square and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with live music, exciting parade, and food trucks! The date for this year’s celebration has not yet been set; however, with the success of last year’s celebration, it will surely return with another great opportunity to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with friends and family.
