Are you looking for new recipes to bake during quarantine? Is your sweet tooth craving something new? Here are three delicious recipes to satisfy your cravings during the winter season!

 

Cinnamon Rolls

Servings: 18

Preheat: 400 degrees F

9 inch square baking pan, with 2 tablespoons melted butter

 

Ingredients:

  • Dough
    • 2 cups all purpose flour
    • 2 tablespoons white sugar
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 3 tablespoons butter (softened)
    • ¾ cup milk
    • 1 egg
  • Filling
    • ½ cup white sugar
    • ½ cup brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Cream Cheese Frosting
    • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
    • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
    • ¼ cup butter (softened)
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

 

Directions:

  • Step 1: Whisk together flour, white sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl. 
  • Step 2: Work butter into the flour mixture with your hands.
  • Step 3: In a separate bowl, beat milk and egg together until; pour this into the flour-butter mixture with a rubber spatula, a soft dough should form. 
  • Step 4: Flour a surface and roll the dough into a ¼ inch thick rectangle. Brush this surface with melted butter. 
  • Step 5: Whisk white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon together in a small bowl to make the filling. Sprinkle ½ of this filling over the dough. 
  • Step 6: Roll the dough to form a log, and cut into 18 rolls. Place these rolls in the baking dish.
  • Step 7: Bake for 20-25 minutes. 
  • Step 8: Drizzle the frosting over the baked rolls.

Oreo Brookies

Servings: 24

Preheat: 350 degrees F

9×13” pan, spray with cooking spray

  • Pack of 24 Oreo cookies
  • Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
    • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
    • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
    • ½ cup light brown sugar packed
    • 1 large egg
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • ½ teaspoon baking soda
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
    • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
  • Brownies
    • 4 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate coarsely chopped
    • ¾ cup unsalted butter
    • 1 ¾ cups granulated sugar
    • 3 large eggs
    • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour

 

Directions:

  • Step 1: Make the cookies: In a large bowl, mix together butter and sugars. Mix in egg, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Stir in the flour and then chocolate chips.
  • Step 2: Press the cookie dough into the pan and spread. Top evenly with Oreo cookies. 
  • Step 3: Make the brownies: In a microwave safe bowl, place the baking chocolate and butter in a large bowl. Heat for 2-3 minutes, while stirring every 30 seconds, until the chocolate is smooth. Stir in sugar, then add eggs, vanilla, and cocoa. Stir well. Add flour and then stir carefully. 
  • Step 4: Spread the brownie batter over the top of the Oreos in the pan. 
  • Step 5: Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the top looks done and the center is not jiggly.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Servings: 12 

Large pan covered with parchment paper

 

Ingredients:

  • Full pack of strawberries
  • Full pack of chocolate chips

 

Directions:

  • Step 1: Wash strawberries and fully dry; set aside 
  • Step 2: Pour pack of chocolate in a large microwave safe bowl or pot.
  • Step 3: Melt chocolate in a microwave or on the stove (medium heat) until completely melted, or have a smooth consistency.
  • Step 4: Once completely melted, dip the strawberries in the chocolate and cover ¾ of the strawberry. 
  • Step 5: Place the chocolate covered strawberries on the pan and place in the fridge to cool.
