Restaurant Review: Republique

Republique, located in the heart of Hancock Park, is one of Los Angeles’s most notable restaurants. From their renowned french cuisines to their appetizing brunch, Republique is definitely the place to visit for a satisfying and unforgettable meal. Their most famous meal, Kimchi Fried Rice, has stolen the hearts of many. With a reasonable price of $16, many people from different areas of Los Angeles have waited up to forty minutes in line for this dish–yes, a whole forty minutes!

When it comes to a new restaurant, there are always hits and misses. Republique’s famous Kimchi Fried Rice bowls are always amazing: they are filled with spice, flavor, and also very well balanced with a poached egg on top. They are perfect for all lovers of spicy food!

Another top choice is the Belgian Waffle, priced at $13. This waffle is sweet, yet slightly sour due to the tanged fruit on top. However, after tasting it, we decided this dish is not one we’d eat again. In our opinion, there are better waffles in Los Angeles, especially for a unique eating experience like sweet and sour flavor. This waffle did not meet the mark for a mouthwatering, tasty waffle at a reasonable price.
After visiting this rustic french cuisine, we rate it a 3.5/5 for its hits and misses on the menu, but also for its great interior and vibe.
