Over the summer, if you have nothing to do, there are plenty of places in Los Angeles to fill up your plate. Here are some delicious places to try out with your friends and family over break!

  • Tito’s Tacos

Tito’s Tacos is a great no-frills eatery where you can eat delicious Mexican food. Known for its crispy tacos and affordable prices, Tito’s Tacos in Culver City has attracted many customers! According to Catherine Shepard (’15), “The beans and guacamole are to die for!”

  • Café Gratitude

Café Gratitude is a vegan restaurant that many health-nuts and vegetarians rave about! Located in adorable Larchmont village, eating here is great for people watching and munching on delicious food. Try out the I am WHOLE: macrobiotic bowl or the I am POWERFUL: Chinese herb tea with coconut milk!

  • Bloom Café

Bloom Café is the place to go for a nice brunch with delightful food and freshly made juices. Laila Rodrigues (’15) says, “The café has a cute environment with friendly staff. The mac & cheese is really good! And, the pancakes!”

  • Joan’s On Third

Marymount students love Joan’s On Third and if you haven’t gone, you must try it now! With a chic marketplace atmosphere meshed with a café, Joan’s On Third has the best sweets (try the marshmallow cupcakes) and gourmet food. Plus, Joan’s On Third was founded by a Marymount alum!

  • Huckleberry Bakery & Café

Located in Santa Monica, Huckleberry has the most delicious breakfast food and treats in a rustic atmosphere. Josh and Zoe fell in love working together at a local restaurant and now operate Huckleberry together! Helya Azadamensh-Samimi (’15) says, “They have really good tarts and their hot chocolate is the best thing ever with homemade marshmallows!”
