For the past few weeks, Marymount has made efforts to get students excited for the holiday season. Starting last Tuesday, Marymount students have been allowed to wear Christmas accessories, including holiday socks, jewelry, scarves, and hair pieces. Students have grown inspired and are definitely taking advantage of this privilege. While earrings and scarves certainly spread holiday cheer, we would like to focus on the standout aspect of this winter season: the holiday socks. When asked for her take on holiday socks, freshman Emma Courtney responded that they, “show your inner Christmas spirit.” She then declared, “I believe everyone should start the trend of wearing Christmas socks!” Courtney walks around campus sporting her grey socks, which are covered in Christmas lights and reindeer. In addition to regular holiday socks, many wear fuzzy socks, 3D socks, and many other types of Christmas decor. These socks have shown an overwhelming amount of Christmas cheer throughout the school! Here are a few examples so you can join in on the holiday spirit!
