Coachella Warm-Up

Thousands of people, not only across the nation, but some worldwide, crowded around internet devices in order to purchase tickets to the annual 3-day music festival, in Indio, California, during the second week of January.  After the lineup’s spontaneous announcement, featuring the ultra-famous ACDC, Drake, and many more popular artists, was released, tickets sold within a span of only 10 minutes to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.  Thousands sat on standby hoping to acquire tickets to the renowned festival that receives around 579,000 eager fans in attendance annually for each of the two weekends offered. If you’re one of the lucky fans excited to attend the 2015 festival or just interested in what the weekend entails, here is what you need to know!

If you’re attending the festival here are the famous acts that you definitely shouldn’t miss!

Headliners:

AC/DC→ Famous for songs such as “Highway to Hell,” and “You Shook Me All Night Long,” AC/DC is a rock band acknowledged worldwide.  *Side note: Coachella is going to be one of their final performances, so be sure to attend!

Jack White→ Popular for “Love is Blindness,” and many other hits, Jack White is one of the most beloved guitarists and was the front man in the White Stripes.

Drake→After the recent release of Drake’s new mix-tape “If you’re reading this it’s too late,” fans anticipate an epic performance on the last day of the festival, hopefully filled with guest appearances featured on the album.  

Even though the headliners serve as a huge selling point for fans, the music festival has a variety of acts and other activities to offer.  If you’re attending the 3-day festival, take a look at the lineup and determine what acts you want to see.  Although all headliners perform on the Main stage, Coachella has another 5 stages and spots to visit that feature EDM music, rap, folk, and other genres.

If you’re looking to take a break from the music, visit the Ferris wheel, try the assortments of delicious food trucks, stop by the shopping area to purchase a unique festival shirt, or admire all the art installations. Remember if you’re attending the festival stay hydrated, stick with a friend, and have an amazing time because the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an unforgettable experience!
