Homemade Face Masks

DIY face masks are a good option for many people because most face masks can be incredibly expensive, and with school, many people don’t have the time to get facials or spa treatments. They are also perfect for students who would like simple ways to help relax while doing homework. Though there are these positive aspects of homemade face masks, it is difficult to find actually beneficial ones since some may call for ingredients, like cinnamon, that can harm skin.  Before using face masks It is important to test them by putting a little on your hand as some ingredients can hurt your skin. Some popular, unharmful face masks are:

2 tsp Matcha powder and 1/2 tsp coconut oil or honey+ water

Matcha powder is widely known for being an antioxidant, and it helps with redness, inflammation, and acne. Coconut oil is an extremely popular ingredient for skin and both coconut oil and honey are useful for moisturizing.

Egg whites are good for tightening and toning skin! Avocado is known for its exfoliating and hydrating qualities.

1/2 tsp Lemon juice and 1/2 tsp baking soda and 1 tbsp honey

Baking soda and lemon juice are both antibacterial and baking soda helps with inflammation.  Honey is used in this for moisturizing.
