Marymount style: Keeping it classy

Marymount style: Keeping it classy

All around campus, girls are seen spicing up their uniforms. Whether it be our socks, shoes, or even our hair accessories, we never fail to be creative and take a step out of the box. A feeling of freshness continues to flow through campus as our trends come and go. This season, we can add class and character to our uniform in just 3 simple ways.

  1. As girls, we have a need to keep our hair out of our faces. So most of us use headbands; however, an easy way to do this is simply by taking a scarf and wrapping it around your head various amounts of times. As easy as this sounds, it gets even better: All you need is a ribbon! Although Marymount girls have been putting ribbons through their hair for ages, this look is super modern and adds to our style of “creative class”.  hair 1 hair 2 hair 3
  2. Keeping girl’s hair out of their faces is not the only sensible way that Marymount students find ways to look cute. While keeping the regulated dress uniform that includes penny loafers, these shoes can be complimented by frilly socks found at American Apparel (in various color combinations.) Keeping the uniform stylish and up-to-date is what Marymount girls are all about.Loscalzo Emily finalcopy socks 2
  3. We must buy sweaters from Lands End or the student store in order to follow the Marymount dress code. As limited as this may sound, there actually are a great variety of comfy, cute sweaters, button-downs, and loads more!  Also, girls are aware of the changing weather and because of this, are changing their outfits as well. Scarves are back in due to cold weather, as they are stylish, festive, and most importantly, warm. Those cold days as we suffer in Butler, lacking heat, can be helped by wearing one.
