Abbot Kinney is a well-known street in Venice, California, filled with top-of-the-line shops and restaurants. On September 24, the street was taken over by the Abbot Kinney Festival. Packed with people, food trucks, and live music, this event is an annual experience that shouldn’t be missed. The east side of the street was infested with over 300 vendors selling everything from tasty food and drinks to unique jewelry, art, and clothing. The west side was designed for kids: there were jumpers, slides, a small ferris wheel, and games, all of which were available after buying tickets. Additionally, there were four stages set up throughout the street, each surrounded by a group of people enjoying themselves as live music filled the air. Organized by the Abbot Kinney Festival Association, the purpose of these festivals is to raise money for the Community Grants Program. Since the start of this program, they have raised over a quarter of a million dollars and donated it to the Venice High School STEAM Magnet. The Abbot Kinney Festival was an incredible event that brought people together to celebrate the Venice community in a fun way. Be sure to attend next year during the last weekend of September!
