Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the popular reality TV show that surrounds the Kardashian and Jenner family, dramatically ended their 20-season show in June 2021 that was streaming on Hulu because of NBC Universal and Disney Hulu’s programming rights. Many viewers were shocked that the Kardashian family didn’t renew their contract which set the foundation of their fame, along with the family having different reactions. Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner embraced the end of the show and stated the gratefulness the show and fans gave them over the years, while, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian were struggling to come to terms with an incredible opportunity. However, not only a year later, another streaming service, Peacock, announced the return of the Kardashian family with the start of a new era in April 2022. 

The announcement of the return of the Kardashian on Peacock was a shock to many viewers with much anticipation towards the new branding of the brand. Because of the anticipation of a new era of the Kardashians, everyone tuned into the first episode uploaded onto Peacock. The first episode caused mixed emotions worldwide with international fans praising the emotional and dramatic return compared to US critics criticized for the boring and anticlimactic start after a year’s wait.

Although there were mixed reactions towards the return of the Kardashians, the subsequent episodes sparked controversy and popularity with their scandalous situations, like Khloe’s toxic and controversial relationship with Tristian Thompson, and Kim and Pete Davidson’s surprising relationship. The first season was a great start to the new brand and they are set to air the second season on September 22, 2022, on Peacock with much anticipation from fans. The trailer was filled with drama with Khloe and Tristian’s second baby to health scares that Kris Jenner experienced. Even though the show is a major part of their brand, the Kardashian family is still popular without the return of the iconic reality show.
