Have you ever come home after a long day and wanted to watch an excellent show, but the only thing stopping you is not knowing what to choose? Have you ever been at a sleepover with your friends, and by the time you can decide on something, it’s already midnight? These two events have frequently occurred for me, and most likely for others as well. The following list is a selection of three TV shows and one of the best movies currently streaming.
1. The White Lotus
The White Lotus, created by Mike White, is an absolute masterpiece. The show currently consists of three seasons, its third gaining great popularity in the media, and has recently been renewed for a fourth season. The series blends both elements of drama and comedy, a perfect mix that is both tense, thrilling, and dark but also humorous and laughable, making it extremely entertaining. Each season is set at a different White Lotus resort with a completely new set of characters from the last, and follows the exploits and storylines of various guests and employees through a transformative vacation. The show almost satirizes the absurdities of the upper class through their many interactions within the “White Lotus” resort.
2. The Summer I turned Pretty

The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han has been a complete sensation since it came out. Based on the book trilogy written by Jenny Han, the show is a coming-of-age romance that follows Belly Conklin as she is caught in a love triangle between the two Fisher brothers she has known her whole life. The show contains many aspects of grief, growth, love, and heartbreak, all centered around the Fisher house in Cousins Beach. There are currently two seasons available, with the third season to be released on July 16! Throughout each season, one question remains: Who will Belly end up with?
3. Nobody Wants This
Nobody Wants This, starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, is centered around the unexpected romance that sparks between their two characters, Joanne (Bell), a podcaster, and Noah (Brody), a rabbi, despite their completely different backgrounds. The series explores the many challenges that occur when navigating love. It is also based on the true love story of the show’s creator and producer, Erin Foster.
If you are in the mood for a romantic comedy that showcases all the stages and obstacles a relationship may face, then this is the perfect binge-worthy show.

4. (500) Days of Summer
(500) Days of Summer is not your typical rom-com movie. It follows the story of a hopeless romantic, Tom, through his relationship with Summer, who is not looking for anything serious at the time. Tom believes that Summer is his soulmate, and through flashbacks, we see him reflect on what went wrong. The story truly reiterates the fact that even if something feels perfect, it doesn’t always work out the way you hope. It also demonstrates that love isn’t a sure thing: relationships have ups and downs! If you’re looking for something that doesn’t follow the general love-story plot, this movie is for you!
With summer coming up, having a good list of entertainment to bring on all the summer vibes for both yourself and your friends is necessary. I hope that with the following recommendations, you will never be left undecided about what to watch and will always have fantastic options for yourself and others!
