Owen Cooper wins Outstanding Supporting Actor
15 year old Owen Cooper won the award for most outstanding supporting actor in a limited series. In his dramatic role in Netflix’s Adolescence, the young actor played a troubled teen who faced many difficulties. He became the youngest actor to win an Emmy and has joined the list of youngest actors to win awards.

Tramell Tillman Makes Emmys History
Severance’s star Tramell Tillman makes history as the first Black man to win supporting actor in a drama series. In this Emmy nominated show, his character plays a deep role in representing his race. The actor also congratulated the other Black nominees that were in the category before him, and dedicated the award to his mother since she was his first acting coach.

Hannah Einbinder Speaks Politics
Hack’s leading actress, Hannah Einbinder, speaks up about the war in Gaza and how it’s been affecting everyone around the world. Einbinder closed her speech by criticizing the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and yelling “Free Palestine.” She is one of the first people to be televised while advocating for political statements that are difficult topics to talk about.

Adolescence Sweeps its Category
By the end of the night, Adolescence had won every single category it was nominated in. The phenomenal limited series won in the following categories: Best Limited Series, written by Stephen Graham and Jack Thorne and Best Direction for a Limited Series. The series also has won Best Supporting Actor and Actress in a limited series by Owen Cooper and Erin Doherty, respectively. Finally, Stephen Graham, the writer and creator of the show, won Best Lead Actor of a Limited Series.
