May 17, 2021
With the end of the school year coming near a close, many students are gearing up for a summer of fun and relaxation. However, it can still be challenging to stay active, both mentally and physically, during these warm months. As we are located in Los Angeles, we have the unique opportunity to be surrounded by countless summer activities; in the age of COVID-19, these moments of outdoor summer fun are thankfully still accessible. To kick off summer break, here are a few suggestions from everyone here at The Anchor:
Marina Del Rey has a collection of both on the water and by the water activities to keep you and your family entertained for days to come. Speed boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, and exploring the Fisherman’s Village are just some of the many action-packed adventures that await at the Marina.
Aloha Brothers Surf Lessons located in Venice Beach caters to all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re curious about starting out or are a pro who wants to learn a few tricks, the Aloha Brothers are ready and able to help. Surfs up!
For our more daring readers, Eco Dive Center is LA’s premier scuba diving company, offering beginner lessons, certification hours, and charter trips to spend the hot summer days in the cooling ocean while being surrounded by fascinating marine life.
Our California coastline is full of unexplored adventures. If none of these activities pique your interest, grabbing a pair of snorkeling goggles and hitting the beach on your own is a great way to stay active during the summer months and learn more about this amazing city.
Have a great summer and stay active!
