USA Women’s Olympic Win

April Ross and Alix Klineman, or the “A-Team”, took home the Olympic Gold medal for Team USA in August 2021. April and Alix were dubbed the “A-Team” because of their first names both starting with the letter “A” and the fact that they are arguably the best beach volleyball duo in the nation.

NCAA Representation

In the past couple of years, USA Beach Volleyball has had an increasing number of pro and Olympic-level players that additionally played or are currently playing for their college in the NCAA Conference. Some of the more notable schools that churn out pro beach athletes are California-based. Schools like USC and our neighbor across the street, UCLA, have won multiple NCAA Championship Titles.

However, schools in the southern region of the US have also produced athletes that have reached the AVP after college. Kristen Nuss and Taryn Kloth of LSU recently announced their career path in pursuing professional beach volleyball in May of 2021.

From college athletes to Olympic champions, the USA Beach Volleyball program awards a bright future for ambitious and hard-working athletes.
