As athletes, it is very important to fuel up before a big game, race, or match to ensure that we are ready for the performance ahead of us. Whether it’s spaghetti, a turkey and cheese sandwich, or tuna salad, this pregame meal prepares us for the time ahead.
I have interviewed 10 athletes across the Marymount campus to share their favorite pregame meal. Who knows, you may find your favorite meal here!

Makenna loves making eggs, bacon, and grapes with toast in the morning before a big tournament!
2. Margaux Curtes:
Margaux likes having a simple snack, such as an apple (usually green).
3. Alexi Elazegui:
Alexi plays basketball and likes driving with her friends to grab some Acai after a game!
4. Kamilah Shahabi:
Kamilah is a basketball player and she enjoys having beef jerky before games!
5. Sophie Poon:
Sophie runs track and plays soccer and always gets a caprese panini from the cafe before a game!

Annika plays volleyball and enjoys teriyaki chicken with rice and veggies such as green beans, broccoli, and carrots. She also makes sure to hydrate with water before games!

Sara is a volleyball player and a track athlete and she likes having carbs before a game such as pasta, but also likes gummies or frozen grapes as snacks before games.
