What has been your favorite high school memory so far?

Oh wow, that’s difficult. My favorite high school memory probably is junior year, when our class tied with the seniors during spirit week. It caused so much beef and I couldn’t help but feel a little proud as the class president. The seniors were protesting and not gonna lie, I felt like Katniss Everdeen.

What is your personal philosophy?

Probably to always look on the brighter side of things – a negative attitude won’t get you anywhere.

What is the most daring thing you’ve ever done?

Alright I’m gonna say the most daring thing I’ve ever done is that thing at six flags where they pull you up really high on a rope and then once u get to like 150 ft, you pull a string and drop yourself and then you just sway back and forth really fast. I think it’s called the dive devil. Needless to say, it was an experience.

What are you most excited for in the future?

Like how far in the future? I’m honestly so excited to have kids, cause I want to be such a good mom, like my mom.

What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced?

Well in recent times, I got a spray tan for my NCL Senior Recognition, and yesterday I had a track meet and for track meets we have to wear tank tops. So, my armpits are slightly whiter than the rest of my body because of my spray tan, and yesterday I was wearing a tank top for the meet and I was pole-vaulting so everyone could see my white armpits surrounded by an orange tint. That was my recent struggle.

What event or period of your life has most shaped you into the person you are today?

I think high school has most shaped me into the person I am today. As I come closer to my last year, there are harder classes and more work is assigned, and it pushes me to work hard so that I get the grades that I want. I also met the best friend group at Marymount, they not only care about me and have my back but they also make me a kinder, more considerate friend.

What has been your favorite Marymount memory?

SG: Working with the Marymount Players, because acting is my favorite activity.

CC: Are you kidding me? I’m right here!

SG: You’re not my favorite memory Caroline, you’re a person!

CC: We spent all those free periods together, Sarah! What the heck?!

What are you gonna miss about home?

Probably just my parents in general, especially my mom’s cooking because she’s a great cook. I’m gonna miss just home. I’m gonna miss all the friends I’ve made at Marymount and how close we’ve gotten. I’m gonna miss Genna who lives a block away, and Clare who lives two blocks away and Caroline who lives across the street so it was always easy. I’m gonna miss that area and miss being able to just go hang out with my friends after school.

What has been your favorite high school memory so far?

I mean, Spirit Week is always fun. But also just being around friends and this community.

What are you most excited for next year?

Meeting new people and living in a different state. I like the people here but I’m excited to go.

What has been your favorite high school memory?

YB: BACK TO BACK! BACK TO BACK!

CC: I painted my whole body pink. #spirit #pink #clarecooper #back2back #thinkpink #yurikaboydiscool.

YB: Shut Up.

What are you guys going to miss about Marymount?

YB: My friendships with my friends.

CC: That’s so weird you just repeated your answer twice.

YB: I do what I want.

CC: I’m going to miss Yurika Boyd; we’ve gone to school together since Kindergarten. She is my queen, she is going to Yale- but like everyone knows that. But she is so cool and I love her.

If you could take one thing from Marymount to college with you, what would it be?

CV: Probably the community, because I’m gonna miss that. I’m gonna miss people coming up to me and being like, “hey, how are you Carmen?” and I don’t even know them and it’s weird and confusing but it’s cool; it makes me feel popular and good inside.
Genna Whittell: I cannot thank you enough for the past four fantastic, effervescent, indescribable and wild years. Thank you!
