As soon as Trader Joe’s started stocking their infamous fall goodies, I couldn’t resist; I grabbed stacks of everything! Now, I’m here to share which of the 73+ items I think are worth trying and which ones you can skip.
For some background, Trader Joe’s is a natural grocery store known for offering high-quality food that caters to a variety of dietary preferences, including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. Nearly all their items are cruelty-free, natural, and organic, making it easy to shop consciously while enjoying seasonal favorites. While not all the items on this list may meet those dietary needs, it’s good to know that Trader Joe’s fall section is designed for everyone.
1. Pumpkin Spice Mini Sheet Cake

Before purchasing this sheet cake, I had seen a lot of positive buzz about it on social media. Not just the pumpkin, but also the other flavors, like strawberry and vanilla. Now, I get why the pumpkin one is the most popular because this is genuinely the best cake I’ve ever put in my mouth. It only costs $6, and it’s so easy—grab a fork and start eating. In general, I’m not the biggest fan of pumpkin, so this was the perfect balance: it still tastes like fall but isn’t overly spiced. The cream-cheese frosting is the perfect addition. I could eat this cake a thousand times over. I’m definitely going to stock up before the fall season ends so I can eat it anytime.
2. Sweet Potato Fries

These fries did not disappoint! I’m not usually the biggest fan of fries, but I absolutely love anything made with sweet potatoes, and these were the perfect combination of savory and natural sweetness. I cooked them in my air fryer, which made them perfectly crispy on the outside while staying soft on the inside, but you could also bake them, or even microwave them if you want. You can enjoy them on their own or with some ranch seasoning, ketchup, or whatever else you like. At about $3 a bag and both gluten-free and dairy-free, these fries are a must for anyone who loves a tasty, easy snack! So, if you’re a sweet potato fan like me, these definitely deserve a spot in your cart!
3. Pumpkin Streusel Muffins

I LOVE Trader Joe’s muffins, like, LOVE. There was a time when I had their blueberry muffins every single day for breakfast, and this is basically the same thing, just pumpkin! Even though I’m not usually a huge pumpkin fan, pumpkin pie is one of my favorite things ever, and this tastes just like a pumpkin pie pastry, especially thanks to the crumbly streusel topping that takes it to the next level. Heating it up makes it even better. You can enjoy these for breakfast, as a snack anytime, or even as dessert. If you love sweet pumpkin desserts like pie, you have to try this; your life will be forever changed for only $6.
4. Mashed Sweet Potatoes

A sweet potato item is high on my list once again—and trust me, for good reason. Mashed potatoes are undoubtedly a classic (and one of my all-time favorite foods), but sometimes they can be a bit heavy. These sweet potatoes, though, are the perfect twist! I literally finish the whole bag in one just sitting! You can sauté them with a bit of water or just pop them in the microwave for an easy meal. I like to sprinkle on cinnamon and nutmeg to take the fall flavor to the next level. If you love sweet potatoes, you have to try these. However, if you’re not a fan, feel free to skip them, as they are made with one simple ingredient: sweet potatoes. Plus, at only $3, they are definitely worth trying if you’re curious.
5. Sweet Apple Chicken Sausage

Two things about me: 1. I love breakfast, and 2. I love sweet and savory. These chicken sausages satisfy BOTH of those cravings. The mix of apple, cinnamon, and maple syrup is not only perfectly balanced and delicious, it’s also totally perfect for fall. They also come fully precooked, which makes serving super easy since all you have to do is heat them up. Honestly, I don’t have much else to say except that you should try them because they’re amazing. The only reason they aren’t higher is that my top five items are basically tied. But you should definitely get these. They’re a little under $5 and totally worth it!
6. Pumpkin Ravioli

Saying this ravioli was amazing is an understatement; it was almost perfect. The only slight downside was that it was a little chewy, which might be because it’s gluten-free, but the flavor was spot on. The pumpkin filling slightly muted the cheese, but I actually preferred it that way; it still tasted incredible. Another great thing is that it cooks in just 2–3 minutes, which is perfect for nights when you’re starving. At only $5, I’d definitely recommend this ravioli. It’s warm, cozy, and best for a relaxed fall night in.
7. Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps

As an avid snacker, I can say these are absolutely delicious. They are the perfect balance of sweet and salty while still giving that cozy fall vibe. The combination of cranberry and pumpkin is surprisingly perfect; I honestly didn’t expect it to work so well. Huge thanks to Trader Joe’s for making these because I’m definitely going to be eating them a lot. At $4, they’re totally worth it. You can enjoy them on their own, pair them with other foods, or dip them in something; my favorite is Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cream Cheese, which made them even better. The only reason these aren’t higher for me is that, as a snack, they aren’t super filling and can get a little boring after a while.
8. Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese

This Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese definitely lived up to the hype. No matter which review I read, it was always in the top three, and now I get why. It’s savory, creamy, and has a subtle sweetness from the squash, all perfectly seasoned. The only reason it’s not higher for me personally is that I’m not a huge fan of cheese, but if you love mac & cheese, this is absolutely for you. At only $4, it’s also a total steal. Other than that, it’s really delicious and a perfect cozy fall dish.
9. Maple Pancake Flavored Puffs
As someone who loves snacks, these are definitely now part of my regular rotation. They’re crunchy but still melt in your mouth since they’re air-puffed. They’re perfectly sweet and taste just like a light maple-syrup pancake. The only reason they aren’t ranked higher is that they’re not very filling, and it’s easy to get a little tired of them. Still, they’re different from the typical crunchy snacks I usually reach for, and I’d definitely recommend them, especially since they cost less than $3.
10. Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread

I was really excited to try this, and it wasn’t that I was disappointed; it was still enjoyable, just a bit different from what I expected. The pumpkin flavor is pretty subtle, and the cream cheese flavor is too. The texture was a little off for me; it was thick and harder to spread than I anticipated. People seem to really love it, but I found it kind of basic, and since I’m not a huge cheese fan, that probably biased me a bit. It is easy to pair with other snacks though! I tried it with the Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps, which made it a lot more flavorful! It is a very fall-appropriate item, and there’s nothing wrong with it at all. I tried it with a friend, and she loved it, so it’s definitely worth picking up for $3.
11. Spooky Bats & Cats Sour Gummy Candies

These candies are a seasonal spin on the popular Scandinavian Swimmers, and they’re just as tasty. Honestly, I have no complaints. They’re cute, Halloween-themed, and great for yourself or as a treat for someone else. That said, the only reason they rank a bit lower for me is that I personally prefer the actual food items. Also, they’re kinda basic and just taste like normal sour-ish candy. At $4, they’re a little pricey for what they are, but still worth adding to your cart if you want a festive snack.
So, that’s a wrap on my ranking! I hope this helps guide you toward some tasty fall treats. Keep in mind, these were just 11 out of around 73 seasonal options, so I definitely recommend heading to Trader Joe’s to explore and find your own favorites. These limited-time items are the perfect way to celebrate the cozy fall season. Happy snacking and happy shopping!
