Have you ever sat inside with your friends on a cold day with nothing to do? Have you ever wished you could spend that time satisfying your sweet tooth? Here’s where we at The Anchor can help you out. Rain or shine, here are two incredible and mouthwatering recipes that will fulfill your cravings and help you have fun with your friends:

Have you ever wished you could make something that could emulate the perfection of Pinterest desserts? If so, this s’mores dip is perfect for you, and it is the ultimate dessert to share with a group of friends. Hopefully your friends won’t mind if you double dip, because you won’t be able to get enough of this delicious treat.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet, milk chocolate, or a combination)
  • 15 jumbo marshmallows, halved
  • Graham cracker squares

Directions:

  1. Adjust rack to center position of oven and place 8-inch cast iron skillet on rack. Preheat oven to 450°F with skillet inside.
  2. Once oven is preheated, use a potholder to remove hot skillet from the oven.
  3. Place pat of butter in the skillet and use a potholder to hold the handle and swirl the skillet so that the melted butter coats the bottom and sides.
  4. Pour chocolate chips in an even layer into the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Taking care not to burn fingers on the sides of the skillet, arrange marshmallow halves over the surface of the chocolate chips, covering the chocolate completely.
  6. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes or until marshmallows are toasted to your preference (watch closely!). Use an oven mitt to remove the skillet from the oven and allow resting for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve immediately with graham cracker squares or sticks, but be careful: the dip (and the skillet) will be very hot!
