With the holidays and the colder weather, many of us neglect working out and eating healthfully. Here are a few tips for staying fit during the winter months. Even if you are traveling or extremely busy, this routine is perfect for you:

  • 1-minute plank
  • 40 crunches
  • 30 bicycle crunches
  • 25 mountain climbers
  • 10 leg raises
  • 50 scissor kicks
  • 50 jumping jacks

This plan does not require equipment, but you may find a yoga mat useful. This workout is great for mornings, but you can do it whenever you have time. Try doing this every morning and you will definitely feel more active and energized.

One of the benefits of living in Los Angeles is the weather. It never snows in LA or gets extremely cold. A great outdoor activity is going for a run or walk around your neighborhood.

For motivation to exercise, find a workout buddy. Find a friend or sibling to accompany you on your workouts. You can motivate each other, and it’s always more fun to enjoy a challenging workout with others.

Lastly, join a workout class. For those of you, who have a gym membership joining a class at your gym is a perfect way to get fit over the colder months.
