Baking is one of the greatest relaxers. Not only is baking fun, but it has been proven to serve as a huge stress reliever. While you are in the kitchen baking those sweet chocolate chip cookies, let your other worries slip away.

Another simple way to relax is measured breathing. While the holidays are very stressful at points, remember to take three slow inhales and exhales when you start to feel a bit overwhelmed. This simple technique is very effective and aids in relieving stress.

The last way to stay mentally attuned this break is allowing yourself to actually have a break. Although finals are coming up and you might feel the need to pull all-nighters over the break, keep in mind that it is okay to allow yourself time off to relax and enjoy this fantastic season. This is your time to unwind and relax. Do not save your over-the-break homework for the last minute, but rather, budget your time in the way that will be the most effective, causing the least amount of stress possible.

These three things are simple ways to relieve your stress over this holiday break. Happy holidays to everyone!
