Christmas Activities to Engage in During the Winter!

By: Melina Angeledes

As winter break is coming around, there is going to be plenty of time on all of our hands. The last thing you want to do is be bored… right! Finding fun activities to do during the holiday season can make the holidays even better. Here are some fun activities to engage in during winter break.

  1. Cookie making

There is nothing more relaxing than making some yummy treats, like cookies. Making cookies can range from very easy to moderately hard, depending on the type of cookies you make, which makes it great, as it has a wide variety of options. You could make easy chocolate chip cookies, or maybe you could make gingerbread cookies and decorate it like a reindeer. Get festive with it!

  1. Movie watching

Picture this: you are sitting on a comfy couch or bed, cuddled up in a blanket with the fire on, watching your favorite movies. How amazing does that sound right now? Take time to relax during your winter break because it gives you a break from the pressure of school work. Treat yourself to watching a movie series, or a string of holiday movies.

  1. Ornament decorating

There is nothing more festive than filling up your Christmas tree with homemade ornaments. Making ornaments helps create memories to cover the tree, and it makes the tree look amazing! You could make fancy ornaments, or you could even just make paper ornaments. Maybe you could make your friends an ornament of a picture that illustrates a fun memory! Ornament decorating is an ideal way to spend some time to be creative.

  1. Holiday shopping

Lastly, it’s the holiday season! This time is all about giving to your friends and family… and yourself. Treat yourself with some shopping, for yourself or others. You could do this online or in person. Holiday shopping is so fun because you can be creative and find some items that you just need in your life! Also, it is a nice gesture to find something for someone that you love!

So… spend some of this winter break time doing things that you enjoy to get yourself in the holiday spirit!
