Best Fall Leisure Activities

Not only does fall bring a change in leaves’ color and colder weather, but it also gives us an opportunity to engage in fun activities. Especially since school can be stressful during the fall, it is important to take time to wind down and enjoy the season. From baking to outdoor activities, the ways you can celebrate fall are never-ending. If you are in need of inspiration, try out some of the suggestions below…

Baking

A calming, at-home way to enjoy fall is to bake. Try baking pumpkin desserts, ranging from pumpkin bread to pumpkin pie! You can also make Taylor Swift’s famous chai cookies or a warm apple pie. Whatever you choose to bake, you will have both a delicious treat and a kitchen that smells of fall.

Thanksgiving Potluck

With Thanksgiving coming up soon, consider hosting a potluck with friends and family. You can cook traditional Thanksgiving dishes, or be more creative. What is important is that you share meals, stories, and quality time with one another.

Pumpkin Patches

One of the most festive fall activities is going to a pumpkin patch. There are pumpkin patches all over Los Angeles, so they should be easy to find. Pick out a pumpkin and use it for carving or to make a fall recipe when you get home. Some options for local pumpkin patches include Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in Culver City and Underwood Family Farms in Ventura.

TV Shows and Movies

Fall is the perfect time to rewatch Gilmore Girls if you prefer to stay home. If scary movies are your thing, pick a Halloween-themed movie to watch. Turning on the TV and watching fall-related TV shows and movies is a great way to celebrate fall without having to leave your house.
