As the holidays are approaching fast, it is time to bundle up, get festive, and, of course, watch your favorite holiday movie. While there are numerous holiday movies, in my opinion, you can never go wrong with any of these holiday classics.
Elf (2003)
Elf follows Buddy, the oversized elf, and his journey to New York to meet his biological father. This movie will seriously get you into the Christmas spirit, as it is funny, festive, and a comedic masterpiece!
Home Alone (1990)
Another excellent holiday classic is Home Alone! Home Alone tells the story of eight-year-old Kevin McCallister, who is accidentally left behind at home while his family leaves for vacation. While alone, Kevin develops tactics to fend himself off sneaky con men. This amazing movie is so funny, exciting, and such an unforgettable classic!
Love Actually (2003) Love Actually tells the connecting stories of numerous people who must operate love, family, airports, and much more, all during Christmas. This movie is the perfect balance of romance and comedy and will give you different, yet unifying perspectives of the magical nature of the holidays.
It’s a Wonderful Life (1946) It’s a Wonderful Life has also made the list! This movie is centered around George Bailey who, during the holidays, makes a wish, which becomes granted. George watches as the world he knows completely transforms. This movie truly depicts the meaning of love, Christmas, impact, and family in such a great way. And is perfect to watch with family or friends!
Christmas with the Kranks (2004) Christmas with the Kranks tells the story of the Kranks, who plan on skipping Christmas to go on a cruise. They constantly find themselves put into different situations, and their lack of Christmas cheer becomes challenged. This movie is great at creating comical situations while also painting Christmas in a positive, comforting light.
No matter what, all these movies are holiday bucket list-worthy. Whether it’s Elf or Love Actually, you cannot go wrong with a single classic! What’s your favorite Christmas Movie? Happy Holidays!
