We are lucky enough to live in a city with countless amazing restaurants with food from an abundance of different cultures. With so many options, it is hard to claim a “favorite” dining establishment for most people. For me, though, South Beverly Grill is always the restaurant that comes to mind when I am asked to choose a favorite. With its inviting atmosphere and plethora of delicious offerings, South Beverly Grill continues to be a standout favorite restaurant of mine.
An Ambient, Cozy Atmosphere

One of South Beverly Grill’s many great qualities is its atmosphere. The dark wood interior and warm lighting sets it apart from many other restaurants given its welcoming and homey energy. If it is an 80-degree day in LA’s so-called “autumn” and you are craving some coziness, SBG is the place to be. The restaurant is equipped with wonderfully spacious leather booths that can accommodate five to six people, making them perfect for a family dinner for any occasion. On the flip side, if it is a sunny late afternoon and you want to stop in for a quick dinner, South Beverly Grill will happily accommodate the necessary vibe. The restaurant’s street-facing wall includes gorgeous shutters that can be opened and closed based on the time of day. This allows for the lovely LA sunshine to stream in on these August evenings when needed. Whether it is seven p.m. on a fun Saturday night or five-thirty p.m. on a Tuesday- sometimes the only time you can get a reservation- SBG is always bustling with lots of people ready to eat delicious food in a beautiful place.
The Best Menu
The final and arguably most important reason why South Beverly Grill is one of my favorite restaurants is because of its amazing food. The restaurant has such a versatile yet perfectly curated menu that can accommodate any of its guests. If I could talk about every dish I love then this article would go on forever, so I will keep it brief with just a few of my very favorites. Their wide selection of sushi is always so fresh and delicious with tons of different rolls to choose from. My personal favorite is the coconut shrimp roll: it includes crispy coconut, fresh shrimp, and avocado, all wrapped up in soft soy paper.

Another appetizer that can not be missed is their spinach and artichoke dip. The bowl of dip is served with warm, crispy tortilla chips, sour cream, and a red tomato salsa that is perfect for adding. The entrées are where picking a favorite gets extra challenging given that every dish is so good. My personal favorite is the kale and rotisserie chicken salad with peanut dressing.
The salad includes the perfect amount of chicken and the dressing is perfectly sweet and salty. I also really love the burger. It is a classic cheeseburger but with some extra things like pickled red onions and a delicious bun that make it extra amazing.
There are so many wonderful restaurants in the Los Angeles Area, but South Beverly Grill is no doubt my favorite. It has such a fun and cozy atmosphere while also serving the very best food, making it an absolute winner. Hopefully, you will try it soon!
