Spring cleaning is the practice of thoroughly cleaning and organizing your home in the spring. Everyone should participate in spring cleaning this spring! What better way to welcome the warmer weather than by giving your home a deep spring cleaning? This guide breaks down the must-do chores to create the perfect clean home.
- Organize

Spring cleaning offers the opportunity to really organize your house. Pick up and eliminate clutter in each room is a great way to begin your spring cleaning! I recommend starting with your bedroom and then tackling the bigger rooms, such as the living room and kitchen.
2. Wash your windows
If your windows are dirty and dusty how will the wonderful sunshine come in? Water and a microfiber cloth will clean windows more effectively than chemicals. But if you don’t want to use that you can make a glass cleaner solution with 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol, 1/3 cup vinegar, and 2 cups of distilled water.
3. Clean your bathroom
Spring cleaning is a great time to conquer clutter and throw away old and expired products. If you no longer use something this deep clean allows you to get rid of old stuff and make room for new products! You may clean your bathroom every other week by cleaning towels, replacing toilet paper, and replacing your shower products. But spring cleaning gives you the opportunity to really deep clean your bathroom!
4. Deep-Clean your carpet

It is highly recommended to clean your carpet every twelve to eighteen months so what is a better time to do it then spring? If you don’t want to get it professionally cleaned, many methods of DIY carpet cleaning work.
5. Clean under the furniture
Under your furniture is usually the place where many items are lost and it is often never cleaned. I recommended that you ask a neighbor to help you move the furniture and use a vacuum to clean underneath! Who knows, you may even find a lost stuffed animal or jewelry!
6. Clean out your wardrobe
Cleaning your closet is a great way to end your spring cleaning journey. Storing items you never wear is useless and you should get rid of them and make room for new clothes. You can even donate your old ones to local thrift stores and places in need of donations.
