With tourism and travel forever growing, people may think that they will run out of places to visit. Most people stick to what they like; they visit one place and they continue to go there year after year. And, well yes, it is good to have a comfortable travel destination, a lot of those places are already piled with tourism due to them being top destinations for travel. But what if I told you that some of the most beautiful places in the world are deserts when it comes to tourism and they’re just as beautiful as your most popular travel destinations? I’m extremely excited to share with you some of the most underrated places to travel in the world and why these destinations are just so amazing.
Germany:

While most people who go to Europe tend to visit France or Italy or Greece, most people skip over Germany. While October Fest is buzzing, when it’s not swarmed Germany is one of the most beautiful places in the world. In the Bavarian Alps you will find glossy Alpine Lakes with backdrops of mountains that you find in museums. You can swim or paddle board and take scenic mountain hikes, trains or bike rides. Germany is definitely a very underrated place to travel.
Ireland:

While Dublin can be busy and crowded, most people overlook Ireland which includes overlooking their beautiful cliffs, Atlantic coastal views, rolling hills, and complete calmness. Looking for a place to completely relax? Try Ireland! You can walk cliffs and paths with beautiful views, or enjoy a cozy small town and hike their beautiful terrain.
English Country Side:

Have you ever watched The Holiday? Then you’ll know what I’m talking about. The underrated beauty of the English Countryside is astonishing. For example, the Cotswolds. In the Cotswolds you can enjoy beautiful historic cottages, Green Hills Dry Stone farmland, beautiful agriculture and much more. Have a relaxing vacation walking through villages, enjoying afternoon tea, going antique shopping, and finding complete bliss.
New Zealand:

I can personally confirm after visiting this past Christmas that New Zealand is definitely one of the most underrated places to travel. And while the flight is daunting, it is worth every hour on the plane. My family and I enjoyed beautiful agriculture, the most gorgeous coastline, amazing day activities such as boating, zip lining and much more. Not to mention, New Zealand is home to some of the kindest people you will ever meet. If you ever have a chance to go to New Zealand, GO! It will be a trip that changes you for the rest of your life.
Montana:

When traveling in the US people typically go to Florida, New York or California, the more popular places some might say. people often skip over the “flyover states.” I mean it’s in the name. Montana however has some beautiful snow-capped mountains, beautiful lakes, calm fresh air valleys and beautiful hikes. And if you’re more of an animal person, there are some beautiful ranches with amazing opportunities to go horseback riding, escape the city, and feel extremely grounded.
Costa Rica:

Now if you’re a person or family that enjoys more of a jam-packed activities kind of vacation, take a look into Costa Rica. It is non-stop fun. You can go zip lining, white water rafting, surfing, hiking around volcanoes, monkey viewing, and enjoy waterfall visits. If that’s your type of thing, Costa Rica is the perfect place to have an activities-based vacation. And it’s not as busy as other South American countries. So if you want to skip the walking around Europe, skip the museums and get straight to fun activities, Costa Rica is the place to go.
In all, these places are some of the most beautiful on earth with the least amount of tourism and popularity, but they still give the same vacation feel whether you’re into activities, sitting by the pool, or you want to enrich yourself in new cultures. I highly suggest trying any of these places on your next vacation. I can assure you it will not be a let down.
