A recap of the Marymount basketball season

The winter season has come to an end for both the Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball teams at Marymount. Both teams dominated the season and ended on a positive note while also looking to improve next year. Each team member left 110% of their effort on the court; Emily Torp agreed that JV had great success this season and stated, “ I thought we really came together as a team at the end of the season and played our hardest.”

Another JV player, Olivia Thomas, spoke about the experience of participating on the Marymount team:,“I felt like we formed a close bond. Our coach, Coach McDuffie, was really cool and helped us challenge ourselves to play basketball to the best of our ability. I think our team was really supportive of each other and we pushed each other to be the best basketball players we could be.”

Varsity player Caitlin Keefe also added to the congratulatory statements, “I loved playing for a team where all my teammates cared for each other so much and playing for a coach who would push us to be our best while having our backs and supporting us at the same time. Marymount basketball became my second family and the fun and memorable experiences from this season only come once in a lifetime.”

The sailors had a great season and will have an even better one next year: congrats Marymount Ballers!
