Freshmen glitter in gold for Spirit Day.

On Friday, September 19, all the Marymount students dressed up in their class color for the first Spirit Day of the 2013-2014 school year, Class Color Reveal Day. Although the results are yet to be released, it is agreed that all classes did a fabulous job showing their color and uniting together to show spirit. Each class was decked out in anything and everything they could wear in their class color. Seniors made a statement dressed in all black, with intimidating war paint and matching headbands;  they treated everyone with brownies and candy. Juniors sported everything red — from flannel pajama pants to tutus — and they brought red punch and KitKats for students. The sophomores, in their bright turquoise shirts, brought turquoise cupcakes for the whole school to enjoy. The freshman class went for gold. They all wore spray painted tee shirts, gold bling, gold hairspray, and gold war paint. Each class also participated in fun competitions at lunch to promote class spirit: a cheer off and a contest to see which class could arrange themselves to form their graduating year the quickest. Judging from the tremendous effort shown for
