Every summer, Marymount hosts the BSBW (Better Self for a Better World) Conference on campus. All middle school girls in Los Angeles are invited to participate in this exciting, life-changing conference. As the goal of this event is “to empower and build confidence in young women to become leaders in their communities and around the world,” students will be inspired by many speeches from our very own Marymount students! The topics include healthy friendships, Self-Image and Social Media, Open-Mindedness, and Service. Just like all Marymount students, these middle-school girls will participate in a service project to exhibit how a small act of kindness can change an entire community! The event will take place on Saturday, June 10 from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. Through this conference, Marymount hopes to motivate middle schools girls to project their voices in their everyday life and strengthen their leadership skills.
