Freshman Class Council Introduction
December 10, 2018
On October 17th, the Freshman class voted for their class council for the first time in their high school career. Since the 17th, the elected Freshman Class Council (CC) has appeared during Freshman class meetings and in the email inboxes of the Freshman class and beyond, but the Marymount community has not yet had the opportunity to get to know them. Therefore, the following questions gave Megan Verbiest (Freshman President), Kerry Keefe (Freshman Vice President), and Mia Mack (Freshman Class Representative) the opportunity to open up to the Marymount community.

Megan Verbiest
Q) If you had to have one job in ASB, what job would you have and why?

Q) What’s your favorite part of being freshman class President?

Q) If you had to have one job in ASB, what job would you have and why?

Q) What’s your favorite part of being Freshman class Vice President?
A) My favorite part about being freshmen Vice President is that I really enjoy bonding with the rest of the ASB and especially with our class council!

Q) If you had to have one job in ASB, what job would you have and why?
A) I would want to be Vice President in ASB because of two reasons. One, the VP is very involved without being the primary person with the most responsibility, like the President is. Two, the VP gets to talk on the school speaker every morning for daily announcements and that sounds like a lot of fun to me.
Q) What’s your favorite part of being Freshman Class Representative?
A) My favorite part about being Freshman Class Rep is that I get to be involved in what goes on in the school. Especially the school dances, because those are a lot of fun to plan. It also provided an excellent opportunity to get out there, be bold, and make new friends at the beginning of the school year. Even when I didn’t know a lot of people in the grade, I still got up in front of everyone and put myself out there.
Q) What are your goals for your term as Class Representative?
A) My goals as Freshman Class Rep is to make sure I do my best to listen to our grade and transfer the suggestions to Ms. Regan and the rest of ASB-CC and also to just have fun and enjoy my time on student council.
