2023-2024 Retreat Highlights From a Sophomore

2023-2024+Retreat+Highlights+From+a+Sophomore

Many would describe this year’s retreat as highly memorable. The Sailor-sister bond strengthened as each class took a break from their average school days to venture out in the sun. I spoke to some members of the class of 2026 on what was their favorite part, and here’s what they had to say: Natalia Corral said that she made the most memories in the cabins, while we stayed in Ojai, California. Dasha Romano said that the retreat for her served as a chance to get to know some classmates that she wasn’t as close with before. Dawni Daniels reflected on playing a new game called “Aerotag,” a mix of archery and dodgeball where you get to go around and say “bang bang” to get your opponents out (P.S. She won). Leila Hasty reflected on playing a fun game of basketball with her friends, and she really enjoyed it because she used to play, but never got the chance to pick it up again until retreat. Finally, my personal highlight of the retreat was making colorful friendship bracelets.
