 Teacher Spotlight: Ms. Bright

The teacher spotlight of the Anchor Spring Issue highlights this teacher for her persistent dedication to the progression of her students, her impactful ways of teaching, and her genuine consideration and attentiveness to every student. Ms. Bright remains a prime example of a teacher everyone hopes to get. Ms. Bright’s contagious enthusiasm consistently sparks curiosity in her students, encouraging them to explore the depths of language and literature. Whether analyzing Shakespearean sonnets or investigating the intricacies of Frankenstein, Ms. Bright never fails to provoke interest in her students–encouraging each person to think critically and creatively–and progressively inspiring girls to develop a love for literature. Exceeding the classroom, Ms. Bright goes above and beyond to support her students. Consistently providing mentorship and guidance, she goes to great lengths to make time for her students to comfortably ask questions, improve their writing, and navigate the complexities of the English language. Additionally, her compassion works relentlessly as she remains persistent in making each girl feel heard and understood, both in and out of the classroom. Overall, Ms. Bright’s impact on her students extends beyond the end of the school year, and even beyond graduation, as remarked by her previous students of ‘23. Thank you, Ms. Bright, for your tireless efforts to help students achieve their full potential, as well as empowering each girl to speak with confident, distinctive voices, and for your ongoing dedication, which never goes unnoticed.
