Student Poll: Where are students going over winter break?
Students all across the Marymount community are traveling near and far for this Holiday season. Whether it is a quick trip to visit family for Christmas or a vacation abroad, our Sailors are going to so many different places for winter break. Here are some of the places Marymount students are going:
Suby Bi ‘27 New York and Las Vegas
Sophomore Suby Bi will be taking two trips this holiday season. She is going to New York and Las Vegas. New York during the winter time is extremely cold but also extremely fun. There are so many different things to do here like visiting Times Square, going ice skating, and walking around Central Park. Las Vegas is another wonderful place to be this holiday break. Although it might not be as cold as New York it’s definitely just as fun with so many holiday attractions all across the area.
Rashna Vaghaiwalla ‘25 Australia
Rashna will find herself in Australia visiting family this holiday season. It is extremely far yet extremely worth it to spend the holidays with her distant yet close family. In Australia, it is their summer so the weather is perfect for a vacation right now. I’m sure she’s going to have so much fun visiting family and enjoying all that Australia has to offer.
Olivia ‘27 and Adriana Pickart ‘28 Tahoe
Olivia and Adriana Pickart enjoy skiing in Tahoe during the winter season! You will find them bundled up in their cabin this winter break. They love going skiing so now that they finally have time to go during winter break this is where they will be.
Isabel Beran ‘27 San Francisco
Isabel Barron will be visiting her sister in San Francisco this holiday season. Although her sister does not live too close she lives relatively close enough to which every chance Isabel gets, she visits her beloved sister. I know Isabel is very excited to visit her sibling this Christmas season and spend time with her family.
Kamilah Shahabi ‘26 Staying local
Kamilah Shahabi will be staying local this winter break. Although she traveled to Cancun for Thanksgiving break, she and her family decided to relax this winter break and not plan any trips. She’s excited to stay home and spend time with her grandparents, sister, parents, cousins, aunts, and uncles during Christmas and New Years while taking a break from school.
