The first Marymount dance commenced in full Western Style. Marymount students, their dates, and teachers were spotted having a blast singing and dancing the night away. The Sailor Swing dance was located in the dining hall on the night of Saturday, October 4th. This year’s annual dance’s theme was Western. The night kicked off with some line dancing lessons by senior Liza L., and soon everyone got the hang of it. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors were all in attendance, displaying their sisterhood.

The dining hall was transformed into a real Western Saloon. Attendees indulged in a plethora of snacks ranging from cotton candy, Gushers, Oreos, and popcorn. Curiously, the only beverage that was offered was root beer. To my knowledge, no one overindulged and gave themselves a stomachache.

Sailor Seniors were even seen line dancing for the Western-themed event.
Sailor sisters were adorned in full Western attire, which included hats, boots, and denim. Some Sailors even spoke with Southern accents.

Sophomore Loyola Cub, Kennedy, showed off his award-winning dance moves at the Sailor Swing.
Congratulations to Kennedy for winning the line dancing competition! He had the whole dance floor blown away by his outstanding dance moves. He engaged with everyone and kept the crowd energized all night. By the end of the night, everyone was on the dance floor, and the atmosphere felt like a Western roadhouse.
Everyone was reluctant to leave. The dance was a huge success, and everyone is looking forward to next year! Who can guess what the theme will be?
