This Thanksgiving Break, many Marymount students traveled near and far to spend the holiday with family and friends. From relaxing in Hawaii to traveling all the way to France, our Sailors had some pretty exciting break plans. Here are some of the places students went for Thanksgiving break this year:
Liza L. ‘27- (Hawaii)

Liza L. spent her Thanksgiving break in Hawaii with her family. They traveled there to visit her brother, who plays volleyball for the University of Hawaii and wasn’t able to come home for the holidays due to practice.
Instead of missing out on Thanksgiving with him, Liza and her family went to spend it with him and his teammates and their families. Liza said she was especially excited to relax and unwind. She loved sitting by the pool and enjoying the warm weather while taking a break from school.
Karys C. ‘27 (Paris and Orléans)
Karys had an unforgettable Thanksgiving break, traveling all the way to France to visit her sister, who plays volleyball in Orléans. She was so excited to explore the city and finally see the Eiffel Tower in person, especially during the holiday season. Being in France was an amazing experience, but what made the trip even more special was getting to spend time with her sister, since they don’t get to see each other very often.

Willow D. ‘28
Willow spent her Thanksgiving break in New York with her friend Charlotte. Even though the trip was very last-minute, they had an amazing time. New York during the holidays is truly magical with all the lights, decorations, and energy

throughout the city. Willow was so happy she got to experience it all and spend Thanksgiving in such a beautiful place with one of her closest friends.
Ava W. ‘27
Ava spent her Thanksgiving Break traveling to Dallas Fort Worth to visit TCU and SMU. She toured both campuses, explored the surrounding cities, and got a sense of what student life is like at each school. Ava said she loved getting to picture herself in a new environment and enjoyed the excitement of visiting colleges over the holiday. The trip helped her feel more confident about her future college plans while also giving her a fun and memorable Thanksgiving Break experience.
