Spirit week is always a fun time for the Marymount community, where classes get to bond, be creative, and celebrate class pride. Over 5 days, students and faculty embraced different themes, engaged in friendly competition, and had performances that highlighted school spirit! The week started off with Musical Monday, where the freshmen were

Legally Blonde, Sophomores were dressed as characters from Frozen, Juniors were High School Musical characters and the Seniors were Descendants! During community, the Sophomores started strong by winning the 3-legged race! The competition was tough and the race was close but the Sophomores managed to pull through. Tuesday was filled with sea creatures, where the Freshmen were starfish, the Sophomores were sharks, the Juniors were lobsters, and the Seniors were mermaids!

The freshmen caught up in spirit week points by finding another class’s Anchor. Wednesday was also full of fun, and the theme was Watch List Wednesday! The freshmen dressed up as Barbie’s dream house, the Sophomores dressed up as Bluey, the Juniors dressed up as characters from Stranger Things, and the seniors dressed up as Sophia the First. Festive activities continued, and the funny costumes kept students laughing and enjoying the week. Thursday’s generational theme kept the spirit week energy going.

The freshmen were Gen X, the Sophomores were Gen Alpha, the Juniors were the baby boomers, and the Seniors were Millennials. On Friday, the week concluded with class color day, where each grade got to represent their class with their assigned color. In community, we played relay races, did intense musical chairs, played head-shoulders-knees-cup, tug of war, and each class got to perform their dances. Each grade level demonstrated preparation, teamwork, and enthusiasm, making Friday one of the most energetic days of the year! Overall, Spirit week was a week of bonding, laughter, and spirit, and we cannot wait for next year!
