Have you ever been wandering around the Marymount Campus only to be greeted by some of our favorite furry friends? I don’t know about you, but I think the pets on Marymount’s campus make it superior to all others. From the greetings in the morning to the special lunchtime visits, our pets truly complete the Marymount community. Today we will be exploring the unique personalities and special quirks of all our Marymount fur babies to see who will come out on top.

The first contestant is Cashew! Cashew is one active pup; you may see him running after his favorite green ball in the grass during lunch or in the morning. If you ever go to see Amanda, Cashew’s mom, you may see Cashew eating his favorite bully stick, or as Amanda calls it, his “gross stick.” Cashew is known for making girls feel better on a bad day because he is loving, silly, and a dwerp. Sometimes you might not spot him because he’s sleeping in his super fluffy bed, curled up in a ball being the cutest little pup he is. Though he may be cute he is also feisty, so don’t be fooled by the looks of his baby face.
Next up is Hiroki! You may have seen or even interacted with him while on your way to get a loaner Yondr. Hiroki is fun and super sweet as long as you don’t get between him and his favorite treat: Bark pops. Hiroki enjoys coming to Marymount

because he loves meeting new people, from freshmen to seniors. Mrs. Del Regno, Hiroki’s mom, says that he always brightens people’s lives if they’re having a “ruff” time. Hiroki’s trademark tongue only adds to his appealing charm, giving him a playful look that is undeniably adorable.
Now introducing Miguelito! Miguelito is one super stylish chihuahua. You might even say that Marymount is his runway and he models for only the most fashionable red sweaters out there. A little more about Miguelito is that he does not enjoy car rides, he loves being on the Marymount campus, and he is super friendly. Miguelito also loves to be around people, especially the Marymount students. Not only is Miguelito friendly, but he is also a great companion. I mean, we have all heard him supporting our Marymount students when he barks in applause during community. Don’t forget to stop by and say hi to Miguelito when you see a little red sweater wandering the hallways!

Last, but most certainly not least, is Rosie! Rosie is identifiable for the stylish bows she wears every day and how cute she looks sleeping in the corner of Ms. Martino’s room. Rosie loves being on the Marymount campus and sometimes feels sad on the weekends when she is not hanging around the students. In fact, most mornings when she arrives, you can look for her zooming around the campus. One of Rosie’s favorite parts about

Marymount is most definitely Mrs. Whittell’s and Ms. Reagan’s famous dog treats, adding to her food-driven personality. Rosie’s finest quality is the companionship she shows to people when they are stressed and the eternal happiness she brings to everyone on campus.
After seeing all our contestants and their cool characteristics, it is time to see who ends up on top. From their interesting hobbies to their all time favorite treats these dogs all have a lot to offer. It’s a shame they all can’t win. But what if they could? It is a fact that Marymount’s welcoming atmosphere would be missing something if we didn’t have all these spectacular pets. It’s thanks to each and every one of these pups that Marymount is such a special place for all of us. In the end it’s “paw-sitive” that each of these fur balls have helped raise our spirits at one time or another and without them here life might be “ruff” so truly they are all winners!
