The Varsity soccer team had a largely victorious season with a total of 11 wins, five losses, and three ties. They placed first in the Sunshine League, and are on their way to the first round of playoffs. The fierce team has competed against and defeated many different teams in the Sunshine League, including Ramona Convent, Notre Dame Academy, and Marlborough. Head coach, Tony Green, and assistant coach, Neil Talbot, have guided the triumphant team through their many wins.

After advancing to Round 2 of Division 4 of CIF, Varsity soccer ended their season in a tough loss to Artesia High School. While they fell short of their dream of a CIF championship, the girls have a great season to look back on. Senior mid-field Franny Watne said of the season, “We had a fun team and a fun season. It’s disappointing to see us lose and I’m sad to end my soccer career at Marymount, but I think we had a great overall season.”

Marymount’s Junior Varsity soccer team also had an amazing season with very few defeats. The successful team won numerous games and competed against various schools, including La Salle, Marlborough, and Brentwood. With the help and guidance of Coach Lasan, the team has achieved immense victory this season. They had a total of 14 wins and three losses, placing first in the Sunshine League.
