How to Have a Swell, Sunny, Smiling, and Stimulating Summer

Summer is fast approaching… that means barbeques, Polaroids, tans, and time with friends are in your future!

Here are some great ways to capture the memories:

  1. Find an old Polaroid camera and take some candid photos with your best friends!  Instax film is sold at Urban Outfitters.
  2. If you live in the city: head to the beach.  If you live at the beach: head to the city. Get a jar and fill it with beach shells!
  3. Try new things. Become an adventurous eater.
  4. Keep a journal and write every day.  Write down poems and thoughts about your current, presentlife.  Let your mind focus on the now.
  5. Live in the moment.
  6. Swim at least 15 times.  It’s summer time!
  7. Get a tan.
  8. Learn to do a French or Dutch braid.
  9. Listen to vintage bands on vinyl.
  10. Create a scrapbook.
  11. Make your own candles.
  12. Read an autobiography.
  13. Read “101 Things I Learned in Fashion School” by Alfredo Cabrera and Matthew Frederick.
  14. Create a collage.
  15. Rearrange the furniture in your bedroom.
  16. Paste pictures and magazine clippings around your room to capture the season.
  17. Read some more.
  18. Laugh with your friends.
  19. Miss Marymount and get excited for the 2014-2015 school year!
  20. Create amazing memories!
