Valentine’s Day at Home Spa

Valentines Day at Home Spa

Valentine’s Day may be centered on love, but people tend to neglect the most important aspect of love: self-love. Here are some beauty and spa products you can use to treat yourself. You can find these products at most drug stores or supermarkets, but I went to CVS and Whole Foods.

Facials are crucial for keeping your skin smooth and healthy. Facial masks give you a great way to refresh your skin in a much more inexpensive and more convenient way than a professional treatment. For face-masks by Freeman, just apply the product to your face and neck, let it dry, and then rinse with warm water.

While your facial mask is drying, you can indulge yourself in a pretty manicure-pedicure. I really love these colors by Essie, and the color applies smoothly and opaquely with only two coats. (Top:Overboard, Center: Playdate, Bottom: Go Fiji)

To achieve ultimate relaxation, a soothing bath is an absolute must There are many bath products out there that will enhance your experience, and provide for ultimate tranquility. Bath bombs, like the ones from Lush, are incredibly popular right now, but I also really like bath petals, like these that I found from Sea Salt Soufflé. They smell really soothing, especially the French Alpine Lavender, and the petals absorb into the water.

Lastly, to complete the Zen atmosphere, add some calming candles. You can buy candles anywhere, but I especially like some offered from Bath and Body Works and these from Aroma Naturals.
