What could be better than an evening of dance, song, acting, and art?

On April 29th, the Visual and Performing Arts departments hosted their annual Spring Arts Festival. The night featured two hours of various talents to showcase Marymount’s artistry. Pieces created by the many visual arts classes displayed their artwork, including beautiful ceramics and digital film screenings, in the library throughout the festival.

The Marymount choirs, orchestra, and dance students shared Cantwell Auditorium for a potpourri of musical selections in the first hour of the festival. Senior dancer, Kaitlin Moore, and senior singer, Jessenia Zelaya, performed beautiful solos to celebrate their last arts event of the year.

The second hour featured a variety of scenes by some of Marymount’s best actresses, which stole the hearts of many and left the audience wanting more. Overall, the festival was a success and although both departments are sad it was the last event with the seniors, we are excited for what next year will bring.
