Best Healthy Snacks

  • Rice Cakes and Peanut Butter: Rice cakes are very easy to find and bring to school. They are also low in calories and a healthier alternative to bread! Peanut butter contains lots of proteins and healthy fat. It is super delicious!
  • Cucumbers and Hummus: Cucumbers and hummus is another easy snack combination. You can dip your cucumbers, a healthier alternative to potato chips, into the hummus. Hummus is derived from chickpeas, which contain many healthy fibers and antioxidants.
  • KIND Bars: Kind Bars are a delicious snack. They are high in nutrition and low in sugar. There are many flavors to choose from, and they are super easy to find at your supermarket. My personal favorite flavor is Dark Chocolate Sea Salt.
  • Apples and Peanut Butter: Apples and peanut butter are a classic healthy snack. Once again, peanut butter is high in protein and healthy fat. Dipping your crisp apples in peanut butter creates the perfect taste!
  • Banana Chocolate Cookies: These cookies are very delicious and taste like a sugar-filled cookie. However, they are much healthier because they are derived from mashed bananas instead of processed sugar. I have attached a recipe for these banana oat muffins here.
