Your Sailor Sisters have come to the rescue. We are definitely aware of the sunny winters Los Angeles faces, but we are not complaining. Instead, we are here to offer you opportunities to immerse yourself in the holiday spirit – no matter how warm it may be!

Visit Your Local Ice Skating Rink.

Thankfully, there are many available ice skating rinks located in Los Angeles. Ice in Downtown, Santa Monica is a fantastic outdoor rink present during the holiday season that features festive music and hot cocoa, in addition to the awesome rink and skates. For $15 per person, you can enjoy a winter festivity with your friends. Furthermore, Iceland Ice Skating Rink in Van Nuys is another great option along with the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo and the Pershing Square Holiday Ice Rink in DTLA, which allows individuals to feel festive and admire the city skyline under both the sun and stars.

Go to Starbucks.

Yes, that’s right. Go ahead and treat yourself with a warm peppermint hot chocolate or gingerbread latte. Starbucks has an abundance of holiday drinks that will make you all warm and fuzzy inside. Some of Starbucks winter favorites are the peppermint mocha frappuccino, eggnog latte, and a caramel latte, but do not forgot to check the secret menu! In addition, they have the cutest holiday cups that will transport you far away from sunny California to a snowy setting. You will not regret it.

Buy Yourself Fuzzy Socks.

Best decision ever made. The softest, plushest socks EVER that provide you maximum coziness, warmth and happiness! Go on Amazon for a quick shopping spree and order those Christmas socks ASAP. We also recommend going to Nordstrom or Target to find more fuzzy joys as well. Your feet will be thanking you forever.

Paint Your Nails.

How could one refuse a mani-pedi around the holidays? Go on Pinterest and look up Christmas nail art. There are adorable nail designs your nails would absolutely rock along with festive colored polish. Everyone you encounter will admire your nails and you will be sharing endless amounts of holiday joy. When you look down at your hands, your nails will remind you how excited you are for Christmas and all the joy and love surrounding it!

Build a Gingerbread House.

Enjoyable and crafty, yet absolutely delicious. What could be better than sitting inside the comfort of your own home with a blazing fire while munching on your beautifully designed Gingerbread House? Gingerbread Houses can be purchased on Amazon, Michaels or Joann Fabrics. We encourage decorating Gingerbread Houses with family and friends; everyone should spend quality time together with scrumptious sweets in a happy holiday atmosphere.

Make a Christmas Music Playlist.

Nothing beats listening to Christmas music all day and every day. Spotify and Pandora have terrific Christmas playlists, and you can also organize your own Christmas playlist with your own holiday favorites. These holiday playlists can be utilized during holiday parties, decorating your house, or relaxing by yourself.

Watch Your Favorite Holiday Movies.

When you snuggle next to a warm fire, when you sip your hot chocolate, when you nibble on peppermint bark, you know you must be watching your favorite Holiday movie. It is perfect to do any night, especially on a chilly evening with friends and family. Some must watches: Home Alone, The Grinch, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Christmas with the Kranks, Frosty the Snowman, The Polar Express, A Christmas Story, and A Christmas Vacation. Netflix recently added more holiday films, including The Princess Switch, The Holiday Calendar, The Christmas Chronicles, and The Royal Wedding. Feel free to explore your options and don’t forget some delicious snacks.

Go Shopping!

Take some time out of your busy life and do some retail therapy. Prepare yourself with lists and go shopping for loved ones, and of course, you should treat yourself. Third Street Promenade, The Grove, and Century City are great venues to find amazing gifts and goodies that everyone will adore.

Admire all the Christmas Lights Around You.

There is nothing better than walking outside in the warm California weather and admiring all your neighborhood’s decor. Twinkling lights and inflatable Santa Claus’ will fill your spirits with holiday cheer. Stroll around your area and just soak in the positive atmosphere surrounding you, and the bright lights! Visit Candy Cane Lane in El Segundo and Woodland Hills to view the beauty of Christmas lights and the Holiday Season.

Decorate Your House… Inside and Out!

Light your Christmas candle and let that yummy smell spread throughout your entire house. Bring out your Christmas ornaments and stockings once you’ve picked your Christmas tree with the family. Decorate that Christmas tree while you play those holiday favorites and sip on your Starbucks hot chocolate. Any counter or staircase can be decorated with garlands or streamers, whatever looks best to you! Hang your Christmas lights outside your house and dazzle all your shrubbery. And finally, sit back, and look at what an amazing job you’ve done. A+ in finding Christmas Spirit.
