From flawed cameras to unappealing colors, the concerns regarding Apple’s new iPhone 14 have been heard around social media. Most people say it’s too similar to the iPhone 13 and that the differences are only slightly different. It has torn the internet apart since its release. However, what are Marymount High School students’ concerns?

I talked to some of my fellow students and plenty of them have concerns. Reese J. ‘26 definitely has an opinion, “From an outside perspective, it seems as if every single new iPhone is the same thing with new colors, more cameras, and higher pricing.” However, some disagree. According to media critics, the cameras have significantly better quality than the previous releases; the colors are brighter and the phone’s speed is unmatched.

The Apple Company has stated that the new iPhone is equipped with a better camera and a new “Dynamic Island”. It also has a new color option: deep purple. In conclusion, I believe the iPhone 14 looks and presents exactly like the 13, but then again, I am no engineer, so the mechanics could be completely different.
